The Bud Shootout

Did anyone watch the Bud Shootout Saturday night? NASCAR did a great job with this new package. That was the best Bud Shootout that I can remember.

If that's a preview of what's to come next Sunday, it's gonna be a pretty crazy Daytona 500.

I agree 100% man. Was one hell of a race. Glad to see pack racing is back. Its just a little rough remembering who is in what car after all the switches made in the off season.

The best racing at Daytona has always been the truck series.
Pack racing sucks and racing in packs of 2 sucks a little less.
Plate racing takes better equipment and more luck than all the other tracks......a driver can only do what his car can allow him to do.
I will do what I always do with the Daytona and Talledega races.......tune in with 25 laps to go.
I do have to admit that I loved it when Kyle Busch put it on Tony Stewart in the shootout!!!!! I love it when the Hendrick cars lose.....don't tell me that Stewart drives for Stewart/Haas racing, he gets engines, chassis's, tech support, and even gets to sit in on Hendrick team meetings.
In this 500, I think the last man standing will win....not the best car, but the best survivor still running at the end.

The 500's a lottery. The reason why Kyle was able to pass Tony was because of the super speedway changes NASCAR made in the off season.

At least the way the cars are setup now, you can push a guy to the front and then sling shot around the guy you're pushing and have a chance at winning. Over the past couple of years it wasn't possible, you had to settle for second.

Don't count out Trever Bayne to do well at the 500. He's a good driver at Daytona. he knows how to draft.

If Nascar really wants to improve it's ratings they need to allow Danica Patrick about 20 more CID and have her do a top of the car bikini dance in victory lane.
