With that being said, you can't make a thread about a sports person or sports team or whatever without the assumption that there's going to be countering views. The risk you take. Can't handle it, don't post it. Simple as that. I just don't like the guy because he's so successful and he's associated with the Rainbow Warrier. Congrat's to Knaus and the team on yet another great season and a historical 4th in a row. Just gets damn old and when he wrecked 2 weeks ago, I was really really really hopeful for Martin whos been a long time favorite of mine since I was like 7. But with the win last weekend, I knew it was over. They kicked ass this season, did what they needed to do, were pretty damn consistant, and they got the job done with a 4th, and a 4th in a row.

Still hold out for my local boy Biffle!

OP, you're taking this way too seriously. F everyone because they don't necessarily like the same driver as you? Why?

If you're seeking opinions or advice on something serious, that's one thing. But otherwise you should take the comments from anonymous strangers on the internet with a grain of salt. And as you can see (if you even came back to this thread), that getting mad about something is only going to fuel people to be smartasses that much more.

Back on topic, personally, i hate all of Hendrick Motorsports. The only one I really like is Mark Martin. I used to be full fledged MM fan for years (I had Mark Martin everything)!. I being a Ford man is probably the biggest reason i dont like Hendricks. I've always been a Roush Fan; still am, i pull for Kenseth now, but really respect Mark Martin and was even pulling for him this year even though he is with Hendricks. I can't stand Jeff Gordan, Jr is not his daddy, Mark drives a chevy...that all i have to say. Now when it come to Jimmie Johnson, the man has talent..hands down. I take it he was handpicked by Jeff Gordon himself. Yes, the stats to speak for themselves, hes never finished below top 5 in the 8 years! No other Rookie has ever done this; come into Nascar and for the next years finish in the top 5, then for the next 4 years win the whole damn thing.

With all this being said, I'm sorry NASCAR just isn't what it used to be. This is coming from someone who used to bleed NASCAR. i watched EVERY Race, ceollected memorbilia, and knew everyone's stats. I realize that saftey is inportant and all, but its gotten out of hand. i hate the COT, it sucks, the drivers even hate them, not to mention its ugly as phuck. It just packs up all the drivers. Also, there's no dedication in the sport anymore. Drivers switch teams more than they change clothes! Sure there is a few that are still with the same teams, but more that change than not. I used to be able to wear a MM shirt for years, everyone knew him as the #6...Mr. Consistent. now look, hes #5, Dale Jr switched teams, Busch swithhed teams, kahn (i think) switched teams...Now you have to change shirts andstuff every season to keep up with your driver.

Nascar needs help, that all there is to it. They DONT listen to their fans and what they want to see...big mistake. I've almost stopped watching it due to the way it has changed.

Hey guys. Just want to make an apology. I was expecting critizism from posting this but one of the earlier comments fired me up considering it was aimed towards my occupation with assumptions. After I got fired up I stated to just close the Thread and it was overlooked I guess and so I was pissed. Things got out of hand and I want to apoligize for flippin out on yall and I didnt mean to turn it out like this. I still do stand by what I said in that big paragraph in the first page but I want to apoligize for bringing it on you guys. Ive defended this good bunch of guys, FRF, before when new people have come around and said that you all dont jack shit so I took it hard when I was personally getting turned on with some of the comments.

Hope yo all can understand where I am coming from with all this and can accept this apology.

And I am a friend of Mark Martin. Only talked to 2 or 3 times but hes a friend of my uncle. When it came to drivers that I supported from when I was first watching NASCAR it was Rusty and the Jimmy. I was always a fan of Martin considering the situiation and you better believe I wish he could have pulled it off! But when I got to the point to where he wasnt going to get it, I was happy for Jimmy with making history that no other nascar driver could do. Mark is he man, he just couldnt stay away from racing, even though he announced retirement with Rusty. I hope he goes another year so he can get that one championship that hes been searching for.

This is pretty much why I never watch NASCAR anymore. I used to love watch, and still do. But I got sick of the announcers only talking about who is leaving what team before is contract is up, who joined somewhere else, who got fined $100,000 and 25 points for saying shit. They stopped talking about the race and more of the drama/ politics of it. And then I think it was ESPN started to do the "midrace recap" crap like a football game halftime. Don't know if they still do it or not, but why would you stop airing the race currently running in order to go back over the first 150 laps?

Ture but its like that with every sport now. Its no longer about the game, its the money. I just chose to look past all that and enjoy the sport for what it is since I can't change it.

Good news is that the Mustang will be in some races in the Nationwide series next year and be full time in 2011!

That is pretty cool about the stang, didn't know that. It will be the only car in Nascar that still has the same drive configuration as the model it represents.

Challenger too......but they still don't relate to the passenger version. At least the challenger actaully LOOKS like the actual street car at least in the front.

One of the guys in my mustang club was at the unvealing of the NASCAR Mustang car and he said it was great looking. I has many of the Mustangs features but as a result of Nascar and what it needs for that, there are many things added like the front spoiler. Other than that they are very impressive compared to the current cars.

Its a COT car for Busch. That's basically what the new cars are. I'm too lazy right now to show off the links to the pics.....but I absolutely love the Challenger over the Camry, Impala, or the Stang.

And yes....I did say Busch and I still call it Winston Cup too. lol.
