Brewer's and Card's in the NLCS.....whoooooo boy! Can you say INTENSE! This will be fun to watch given the history between these two teams. Sorry STL, like your unable to stand the Brewers, I feel the same way about the Cardinals. I think all the fans from both teams probably feel this way.

Tony La Russa has to be my second favorite manager, behind Joe Maddon of course,

Brewers have a great team. With Feilder, Braun, Greinke, Gallarado, and the list goes on. But they don't have Carpenter, Holliday, and The Machine Pujols.

I have the Cards winning in 6.

I do hope it is nothing serious with Howard, never like to see anyone get injured.

Yeah, both teams are pretty evenly matched. Although, as much as I love the Brewers, I can see them putting too much pressure on themselves and lose the series.

Unless his name ends with Rodriguez, and starts with Alex...

It would just be the core players within the Brewers I can not stand

Cory Hart
Ryan Braun
Prince Fielder
Nyjer Morgan

I actually like John Axford, Yovani Gallardo and Zack Greinke

I do believe it will be a fun series given what happened in the last series they played in Milwaukee.

I'm not a die hard fan of either teams, but I agree with 3 of those players. I can't stand Hart, Feilder, or Morgan. I like Braun, and I he should be NL MVP.

It is mostly their "swager" as they would say I cant stand. They just come across as if they are owed something. Just maybe the way I see them.

While I don't totally agree with that, I have no hard feelings with your guy's views. I respect peoples' rights to their own opinions. Nyger, while he has come through for us on many occasions this year, does get annoying with his antics. I don't see the ****iness or swagger so much in the other guys. I'd say they have a great passion for the game and wear it on their sleeves. The Cards are a great team, but what I don't like about them (just my view) is a perception that LaRussa seems to have that the rest of the league is conspiring against them, Molina's hot head, and the team's mentallity that they are always in the right, regardless of situation. I'm not starting an argument here between which team is better, but just sharing my view on the subject.

Looking forward to a great series!

I can see where you get that. A lot of people around here dont really care for LaRussa. I dont have a problem with him. I think he is a great manager with a lot of experience. I know your not a cardinal fan. However the book 3 nights in August is a great book. It is very insightful about LaRussa. It would answer a lot of questions about him if you had any.

I never understood the sun glasses at night. After reading the book it is all strategy.

Joe Maddon is amazing has taken a under 50 million dollar payroll and accomplished a lot.
Jim Leyland would be another I like to see manage. Along with Ron Washington.

Of the top 10 teams with high payrolls. 3 made the playoffs and 1 is still in the playoffs
The 3rd highest Boston Red Sox who had the worst collapse in many years didnt even make the playoffs BWAHAHAHA

All the other teams finished way out of contention for the playoffs or 2nd place well off of the winning team.

http://content.usatoday.com/sportsda.../salaries/team

New York Yankees $ 202,689,028
Philadelphia Phillies $ 172,976,379

Boston Red Sox $ 161,762,475
Los Angeles Angels $ 138,543,166
Chicago White Sox $ 127,789,000
Chicago Cubs $ 125,047,329
New York Mets $ 118,847,309
San Francisco Giants $ 118,198,333
Minnesota Twins $ 112,737,000
Detroit Tigers $ 105,700,231
