Re: *** the official fishing thread***
well damnit i aint fishing this weekend my grandpa and dad just got back from Canada and well they had one hell of a crappy time, they took huge chunks out of the prop of the brand new Evinrude E-Tech motor, some how broke the trolling motor, and some how ended up bending the axle on the trailer and still managed to drive the 15 hours home (they didnt even know the axle was bent till they got home)...so its gonna be a long weekend of me fixing that crap...damn i need to go fishing

How do they like the E-Tech? My bf has the 150 and has had nothing but problems with it. Been in for warranty twice, still sounds like its missing, and won't start sometimes - Evinrude told him to lift it out of the water to start it when that happens but he's going to burn through water pumps like crazy doing that. He's been pushing for a replacement but so far no go.

Re: *** the official fishing thread***
I haven't done much more than fish for blue gill and catfish. The only trick I know is that if you're getting nibbles but no bites... reel in, spit on the worm or beemoth, and recast. Idk what it is but I swear it works.

Re: *** the official fishing thread***
I caught an 18lb 5 oz flat head catfish in Yuma, AZ. Be jealous....
A couple of days before, I got a 5lb 11oz large mouth. Am I bragging? Absolutely!

Re: *** the official fishing thread***
I'm only going to give one piece of advice from mmy experience:
Spincasters rule!
I'm using an older Abu right now, and I wouldn't trade it for anything! Except maybe a new Abu.

Re: *** the official fishing thread***
Abu garcia is a great brand......and "baitcasters" are the popular pick (even though I do not personally own any!)
