your gonna birds nest that bait caster so bad, just take your time learning and its pretty fun, i still prefer spinning though
---also can we post pictures in this thread of fish that we and our siblings have caught?

Yeah my bet is that my trusty Okuma spinner and Shakespeare Ugly stick will still be my main set up. This bait caster sure can throw it a mile though, I think Im getting the hand of the birds nest thing, just have to set the cast drag up right.

i love the ugly stick! i got a pole for free from cabelas and whatddya know its GREAT quality! i think we paid like 500 bucks on something so we got a pole idr what its called tho haha ill check later

Cabelas Pro Guide IM6 is the pole i use now its great! a foot longer than the normal ones, corkwood handles, and super light!

you both need to look into st. croix rods....best rods on earth, its their slogan, and they are very good.
