Default brand new shotgun doesnt like to eject shells

I just bought a brand new pardner 12ga pump protector today. its an awsome gun except for one thing, it does not like to eject the empty shells at all, maybe once every 15 shells, idk its pissing me off though. I know its a 200 dollar gun but it should be able to eject the empty shells. does it need to be brokon in or be oiled down some more ? it will eject the live shells just fine.

Just a guess, clean the chamber and look for any roughness or grime.
The next thing to consider, change brands of ammo.
Other than that, try a very light coat of oil in the chamber only. Apply with a swab and dry swab at least once.
If no luck with any of the above, go to brass shells.

probably has some roughness/tooling marks in the chamber. when the shell fires it expands and the brass forms itself to the chamber. some brands of ammo are better than others try using winchester AA ar remington sts ammo. you could try polishing the chamber with polishing compound and steel wool. also check the extractor to make sure that the hook is clean snd square (not rounded off where it grips the rim of the hull) Pumps also sometimes take a break in with my remington 870s I sat and worked the action while watching tv at night until I could point the gun barrel up and hit the release and the weight of the forearm would open the chamber. Please tell me what you meen by does not like to eject and I may be able to help you more IE does the gun open but fail to throw out the empty or is it hard to open. The gun opens fine but fails to throw out the empty shell and even if i keep pumping it it doesnt want to throw out. Now if i just put in live shells they will throw out just fine. When firing it i pump it slow i tryed pumping it fast but they still wont throw out. I was using remington game and target loads. They are 2 3/4 lenght and 7/8 oz. shot and 8shot. And the gun can shoot 2 3/4 cause its stamped right on the gun. Now if im gonna clean it do i have to take off the barrel or can i keep it on ?

Is the shell coming back with the slide or is it staying in the chamber? Randy

i ran your question across my step dad what happend to work in a gun store. he suggested cleaning it again and if that don't work then his guess is a week ejection spring, i know is it's a new gun but with the cheap materials being used that's his guess..
may even be a bad ejector.

Also if the shell is traveling back with the bolt you may be short shucking see if you can find someone who shoots pump guns and see if he has the problem. Pumps require the slide to be pulled fully back with a fair amount of force . Randy
