Re: Anybody Mountain bike?
I have what I consider an entry level full squish specialized. I will go with a hardtail on my next just because I feel more in control with them, even though I do have a lock out on my current bike. I got the full squish (100mm) & hydraulic disc brakes for under 1500.
Don what bike shop do you work at? I actually bought my bike in the valley when my buddy worked there a few years ago.

Re: Anybody Mountain bike?
In theory I do. I have a Diamondback Comp Disc hard tail. Because of deployments and VFW obligations, I haven't had time to ride lately.

Nice bike.
checking in, and answering your question... I do, occasionally. I picked up a Trek 4500 for next to nothing a couple years ago. I've put about 200 miles on it since getting it, but it mostly holds up the wall in the hallway and prevents dust from settling on the carpet. (...in other words, it's currently serving the same purpose as my Lemond Alpe d'Huez road bike!)

I hear ya... I used to routinely put 250-300 miles a week (..um, that's 13,000 to 15,000 per year) on the Lemond. The past few years, I'd bet I haven't put 250 miles total on it!

ok maybe my numbers were low lol. it was my daily rider to school and back during the week, and all over the place on weekends.

I'm afraid to ask how you managed that! Then again, trial riding will result in all kinds of odd injuries if one is adventurous enough. LOL

i was at work actually. early morning, hung over, trying to adjust disc brakes. finger got caught in the disc as the wheel was barely turning, and that was that.
