I am a die hard HOYT shooter but i am not one to talk bad about other bows. Do i think mathews and PSE make a great bow. Hell ya they do. The new z7 is pretty awesome super smooth and quite. Granted i was shooting the original z7. I doubt much has really changed between the OG and the extreme. Maybe the axle to axle length is shorter. I shot a PSE about 5 years ago and wasnt that impressed with it. My buddy though had the Madness and he said he liked it, but when his garage got broke into and his bow and everything was stolen. Once the insurance money was issued he went out and purchased the Z7 and he says that he enjoys shooting the mathews more than the PSE.

Remember though that A bow shouldnt be purchased off of what people say about it. It should be purchased because it feels perfect when you shoot it. the way the grip feels the way it rolls over on the cams etc..

With that being said I highly suggest you try shooting the Hoyt Maxxis. By far the best bow i have ever shot. again shoot as many different bows as you can, dont just have it stuck in your head that you only want 2 types of bows. Hope this helps man

looking at pictures and reading reviews only goes so far when buying a bow. go to a reputable archery shop and try a few different ones. as far as my opinions go between the two you posted i would lean towards the mathews. im a hoyt guy though, i just like the way they feel and shoot over the others but thats something you will have to decide on your own. as long as you like it and can shoot it well you cant go wrong with any bow listed.

From what the 3 of us have said Preston. take from it that we all agree that you just have to go out and shoot a bunch of different bows. and take in account the place your potentially buying from. As its going to be and should be the place that you go back to bullshit about new bows and get new accessory's put on your bow.... Also way to shoot hoyt boys lol
