later this year? why not hunt them now. there starting to pair up and now is the time to hunt them. Here in WI the season is open all year if your not in the northern zone. I really got into coyote hunting this last winter. Its very tough and rarely get them in close enough. The more spots you have to hunt the better as they say dont stay in one spot to long. I sit in a spot for 35-40 minutes and if i dont hear or see anything iam moving on.

This last hunting season, a buddy of mine was out hunting with his bow in a tree stand. He called a coyote in to 10 yards by yelping and kissing the back of his hand. Shot him dead.

I've never hunted them myself, and even had the opportunity to shoot one this last hunting season but didn't take the shot. I'm not into killing something just for the sport. I'm not one of those hippie types, I would just rather make a kill for the food.

I did buy a wolf tag in the 09/10 hunting season, and we even tracked some for most of a day, but we never caught up to them and I don't think I would have shot one.

i wish they were that plentiful here but fortunately there not which i guess is a good thing being that the deer herd isnt to affected by them and iam far enough south in WI that the wolves arent an issue yet. but damn the wolves are bad in the upper part of the state.

Firstly, Our deer population is fine and Coyotes aren't the problem. Our ELK populations have dwindled severely. The problem? An over population of wolves. 10 years ago, we introduced the gray wolf into our north fork forest of the Flathead River since they are endangered and need to be repopulated (that's what the libs say). We planted 1500 of them. The population now has gone up 10 times that (that's not an exaggeration). That is only in a 10 mile by 10 mile square, not to mention the hundreds if not thousands of other places they did that. Are the gray wolves off the endangered species list in the state of Montana? No.

Secondly, the deer have a lot more to worry about then coyotes. I'm pretty sure they get hit by cars more often then get taken out by a pack of coyotes.

Thirdly, even if it did help their population (which it won't because they are doing fine) I still would not "hunt" them. I hunt for meat and I will not eat a dog. Not because I am a dog lover (I am) but because they are a carrion animal and are not good eating.

Lastly, suck it.

Take a breath buddy, only thing you forgot was to put the caps lock on its ok though youll make it through this

I guess to each there own then, I shoot coyotes and you dont, whatever no big deal. I beleive they are hurting the deer herd where i am at and I like the fact that i can make $25.00 for a coyote
