Me and the girlfriend were at game 1 Avs vs. Wild. OT win, I think Stasny has earned a big fat raise when they are in talks after the season ends.

Yeah they need to lock up their whole roster.

They have for the most part. Stasny will be a free agent at the end of the year, but choose to play instead of sitting while they talked. He said he wants to stay, and even talked about a 'local discount'.

In game one they looked like they were scared of being in the playoffs. I hope they have realized it is just another hockey game. But I am also hoping for at least 5 games as I have tickets to home game 3. But I don't really think we will sweep them.

Its tough to sweep a team.

Backes just took a hell of a hit wow.

I just caught the end of the Blues-Blackhawks. I would much rather see Chicago win. We just played them much better this year.

I've been watching the Blues since '87-'88. If they could keep the players they have in the line up they would have the best chance I've seen them have since the 90's

And THAT is what I don't like. They were tough during the regular season. Them in the playoffs scare me.

Backes is a douche. But I don't like seeing players hurt. And point of contact was his head. Stupid play.

He's a good physical player. When he play the game like he does, he needs to keep his head up. His hits are legal to the rules but some guys wanting to get payback that normally dont play that physical game style can tend to be careless where they hit people. I believe thats primarily what happened.
