Used to love going to Captials games in the mid-eighties. Great rivalry between the Caps and Flyers here. However, I've only been to maybe 2 games in the last 20 years. Life: work, family, getting old...Plus, they moved from Maryland to DC back about 10 years ago, and I hate going to DC. Also, the last time I went to a game, I noticed that it had gotten plagued with the same thing that has happened to MLB: too many distractions: video clips of stupid stuff during timeouts, constantly blaring music, basically a dumbing-down of why you're supposed to be there in the first place - to watch a game. Sound like an old fart, don't I ? lol

think its tough watching the maple leafs? what about watching the florida panthers, or better yet tampa bay lightning. panthers were the only team to not do anything at all in the postseason. my dad had season tickets but got rid of them because the panthers arent even trying to win anymore. makes me mad..lol i wish i could watch the maple leafs games, their always fun to watch, and you get the good teams up there all the time, we only play like atlanta and philadelphia and both new yorks and new jersey it seems like. ive never seen colorado, vancouver, calgary or the ducks in south florida

SHOOTING
Yes I like shooting sports, I don't hunt anymore, but I still enjoy watching the exhibition shooter, and especially the long range rifle shooting. I shoot a 45-70 Sharps out to 1200 yards, my own competition against how well I did the last time.
Baseball is about like watching the grass grow. Basketball is controlled too much by the referee's, as is football but that has improved with instant playback. Golf is ok, but you probably should have been a player, I wasn't. Sorry guys, I never got into hockey, I can't say whether it is good or not.
Water polo is way too strenuous for me, always has been, no offense to anyone.
There are other sports like soccer, that I don't understand well enough to watch. Hie-lie is super fast and could e interesting if you got in to it.
Then we have the motor sports, bring your big bucks and sit back to watch a couple hundred thousand go up in smoke, get crashed or whatever, so long as the driver walks away, it is a great sport to watch.
My hope is only that, everybody enjoy whatever sport that turns your crank.

Ray

Americans think soccer (the REAL football) is lame. Too bad because it's a great sport, IMO. There's a reason why it's HUGE almost everywhere else in the world.
