I tend to like sports with physical contact. So in no particular order: football, hockey, waterpolo, rugby.

I used to enjoy basketball but I've been turned away as a result of the the "thug life" mentality plaguing the NBA.

Baseball........... you try hitting a 95 mph fastball....... then try hitting a 70 mph off speed curveball, then you'll have my attention!

I grew up in Virginia Beach which is the new breeding grounds of MLB players... can you imagine hitting against juniors in hs that throw mid 90s? ive been hit by those pitches... not cool!

I'm an NBA fan, but i still agree with you. It's a shame hockey has lost so much popularity, because the majority of the players are really good people.

Hockey was never supported by the US very well. Hell, a few pro teams have gone broke and requested bailout money from the government... sad.

the NBA is the next in line for something like that to happen. The NFL and MLB make too much money and have crazy enough salaries that they will never get to that point.

i love hockey and here in canada(toronto) it is HUGE and kids get soo intense....so many NHL players comes from southern ontario, its ridiculous and yes, i also believe hockey players are great people who have respect for themselvews and soceity and lots of them give back to their communities too
