This is my first year hunting. I'm in it for the ducks cause I like the meat

So far I've gotten 5 Ruddy and one Ringneck. Ducks are a little scarce down here in SoCal this late in the season.

Well deer season is winding down for us. We had some luck at the camp today. My buddy killed an 8 and his grandad got a 9. While all I saw was basket rack bucks. Hoping to hammer down on a big one tommorow that has been lurking around Sweetwater, Alabama.

Rifle seasons long gone where I live, I didn't go because I'm in college but no one in my family got a deer this year. No venison for me

Did my last duck hunt of the season today, I got 3 Ruddy's and my uncle got a Ringer and a beautifully colored Mallard. Hopefully next season won't be so slow.

Ehh, could have done better, that's what I get for being half asleep in the blind when the Mallards fly over; I was up at 2:30am and running on less than 3 hours of sleep. But thanks!

That might be why lol. I have just got into duck hunting. I love it, except for waking up early. Thats why I love deer hunting. I can get in my stand at 2:00-2:30 pm and leave 5:30-6:00 pm. No early rising lol. I am a lazy hunter. I sit in my stand and read and relax. The deer being there is just a bonus.

Well haven't been able to get on here and spread the news. I took my gf hunting Thursday. This was her 3rd time this year. So, far she has loved it and begged to go back after each time. With the season coming to an end. I decided to let her take her first deer. We got in the stand a little late Thursday and waited until we almost couldn't see until two fairly big does came out. She made a nice shot on the biggest one then I shot it the second time. She was thrilled and so was I. I will post pics when I can get a hold of her phone.

I hunt deer but i dont kill them at least not yet, i just dont stay long enough to see one (usually two days then i gotta go back to school) but everytime i go, they see a buck within the next two days..dammit
i hunt geese, ducks, i attempt to hunt phesants but there just isnt any around anymore but more importantly i hunt DOVES! ) september season is right around the corner!

I've been known to take my rifle for a walk. In theory, it's to hunt deer, though my luck hasn't been that good sine scouting time has be very, very limited. I've gone small game hunting as well.
