Winston-Salem Dash Minor League Baseball game (56k no way)

Took Sara and some friends to the new baseball stadium in Winston-Salem, NC. It is home of the W-S Dash, formerly the W-S Warthogs. They just had this new 45 million dollar stadium built and it opened on April 13. I must say it is NICE!!!! My company bought season tickets right behind homeplate. These tickets include admission, free food, and free beer (YES FREE BEER!) its only two types of the free stuff you can get, i think microbrewery stuff. anyways on to the pics:

Is that double A? Only thing I hate about sitting behind home plate is the stupid net when taking pictures.

We are going to a Cardinals double A game saturday. We get to watch batting practice on the field

Nice, I've always liked that kind of stuff, even though it's minor league they are still great athletes competing. Plus, you generally get a better value, cheaper tickets, better seats, more entertainment, etc.

Well most all baseball teams have the following.

Class A-Short Season (fresh out of high school or college)
Class A
Class A-Advanced
Double A
Triple-A

Once they sign a college player or high school player. The big shots of the team evaluate the person and put them in one of the following leagues. Only a select few ever get drafted and go straight to triple A or the majors. That phenom Stephen Strasburg that signed for 151 million even started in Double A

im pretty excited about goin to the new stadium, i always loved goin to see the warthogs and was kinda mad when they said they are gonna be the "Dash" wtf is a dash??

Yeah I think that's why I enjoy it so well. Thanks on the shirt. I had one smartass think I didn't even know who they were one time and asked me to name some songs. When I named about every song they have, he shut up!

"I Need You" off of their "What's Your Name" album is going to be me and Sara's first dance song at our wedding. "Simple Man" will be the song I dance with my mom with. I love some Lynyrd Skynyrd!

56k means if u have dialup or really slow internet, don't open thread or ur gonna be stuck on the page a while or freeze ur computer up because the 56k indicates that there is a shat load of pics

Nice stadium for an Advanced A level team! They must be good and the area support the team good to invest the $$$ in a new stadium like that. Nice Pics!
