I would talk to kryptonite or bill on TRS because they go to trinity all the time and say its not patrolled or not illegal. I used to get chased out all the time when I was younger and now I am lowered so I am of no help. Sorry.

Ok I'm know I'm not going to be able to make this meet.

Truck is having some overheating issues that are puzzling me.

Today being in the 90ish range, the truck was running good and all sudden temp gauge shot up. And I shut her down before anything could happen. Lucky I was waiting for wife so it sat 20 mins or so.

I let it cool, jumped on highway to throw cooler air into it, and spent 45 minutes or more in Walmart ( hate that place ).

We started home and got to a light and temp started going up so I dropped to neutral and held tack at 1600 rpm and it stayed cool.

This happen weather A/C was on or off.

Thinking it might be low on water, but checked reservoir tank and has coolant. Going to let cool and check the radiator itself and see how coolant looks there.

Any ideas?

Terrible to hear about all the issues. I would look at the thermostat like others said. I would also do a coolant flush for good measure. They sell a kit at any auto parts store that allows you to hook up your water hose. Then just refill with proper mixture. NO DEXCOOL! Ask yam lol that junk will clog your coolant system.

On other news I got my new switch tuesday I just haven't had time to get it done yet with my ring ceremony tuesday and my dad in surgery yesterday. Hopefully I'll get it done tonight when I get home or tomorrow. Also looks like my computer will be up and running again this weekend since my power supply warranty work has finished, just waiting for it to come in the mail so I will be on more often now. lol it has been one hell of a week.

Oh and for off roading there are not too many locations. There are no legal places in the metroplex unless you own the land. In bridgeport there is an off road park I have been wanting to go to. There are others but that is the closest. Let me know if any of y'all head out there cause I will most definitely tag along with my ranger.

I'm gonna change thermostat and flush system. I only noticed it when AC is on, but still doing repairs.

That off road park in Bridgeport, is more suited to 4wd's or could a 2wd hand it? Is there a name for the park or idiot online?

I will post a link for it tonight when I get home but you can just google bridgeport off road park. It is actually run by the city of bridgeport. There are different levels of trail difficulty so I'm sure there are trails a 2wd can do. Rangers are very capable off road even in 2wd. The best part is that bridgeport isn't very far. It is north of fort worth. West of denton.

Don't know if anyone is interested but I went to the pick and pull salvage yard off 121 and Carson today and they had like 6 rangers from 89-98 with a lot of good stuff left on them. Tail lights, door handles, side mirrors, etc. I still have a list of crap to go pick but just thought I would let all you locals know incase you were needing something cheap.
