Anyone near Lexington?

In January I'm moving near Lexington for farrier (horseshoeing) school (insert sexist jokes here.)

I've never spent much time in Kentucky and I'm just curious what all there is to do down there. I'll be there for 6 months.

Is the area easy to navigate? I'm horrible with directions. (Insert another sexist joke here.)

The school is between Lexington and Richmond.

Any tips?

What school are you going too? I live about 35 minutes east of Lexington and I'm there about every weekend. Not too hard to navigate, New Circle can get confusing but other then that it's fine.

get with SteelDirigible he is from lex and im sure he can help you out. i drive there at least 4 times a year for work but spend most of my time in versailes,

Ahhh not too difficult when you live there lol... I hate driving in lex though, I usually navigate and let other people drive lol.

i usd to go to GALLS all the time and just make a day of it but when work had me going there all the time for shows and what not at rup i kinda got burnt lol plus the cops that sit on man o' war dont like it when you drive a f450 with a 32 foot goose neck and have some of your load lets just say umm slide off and hit there car ( dumb ass should not have been setting in my blind spot )

I used to live in lexington just moved about 6 months ago. Its not too bad down there, people are nice and laid back and its not hard to find your way around im horrible with directions and i managed to find my way around

i live about 2 hours away from lex and go there everynow and then not really that hard to navigate through.

Was just there at the end of august. It seemed pretty easy to find what we were looking for. When asking for directions. People helped and gave good directions. Even giving us some ideas of places to stop at.
the F series truck plant is a must see place.

yes it is. we have two ford plant's here in louisville. one was for the sport trac and i think its where they will be doing the edge now. the other one is for the f-550's and up

i might have to take a road trip to lexington to see the f-series plant...i still remember how cool it was touring the saturn plant in spring hill TN about 10 years ago lol

I'll be at Kentucky Horseshoeing School. There's really only a few legit farrier schools in the country and it's one of the best.

I'll definitely be stopping by the F series plant.

I was wrong F series plant was in Louisville not Lexington. Louisville is not that far though.

It is primarily the superduty plant as well.

when you go just watch out for the cops if you keep your IN tags and dont switch some resin every time i go in my truck or another truck we get stoped just to get checked out

Ha! I actually still have FL tags at the moment. They expire next month tho so I'm getting IN ones then. I

Haha close enough. I'll be down there 6 months and have Fri-Sun off class so I'll have lots of time for roaming around.
