Re: Official Knoxville TN Meet May 28-29th
Money is looking to be the route of all evil for this meet. I really doubt I will be able to make it this time and fall might not be an option due to school. I may be out till next year.

Well Boys & Girls, I have to sadly say that I won't be able to attend this meet due to family sickness...........I was notified Thurs. that my Dad has "terminal cancer" in his right lung......it currently has 4 liters of cancerous fluid in it & the remainin part of it is collapsed. He goes in Mon. to see the surgeon that will insert a tube through his side into the lung to drain said fluid, it can only drain 1 1/2 liters per day, so he will be hospitalized for 3 days, while they drain the lung, they are gonna "glue" his lung open to keep it from collapsin (just what we've been told), he's in severe pain & they have given him pain meds. I did notice when we were down in March, that he would tell me somethin 2 or 3 times (not rememberin he had told me already). He told my lil' Brother that he was in pain while we were there, but hid it (VERY WELL I must say) from us. So we're plannin on goin down the week of the meet (my Wife has to request her vacation(s) at the first of the year (Wal-Mart), and they must be approved, and when they are, you are locked into it....she was plannin on goin to PA to visit her Dad, but since has come about, we'll be headin to FLA.
I've been prayin that "GOD's will be done & that Dad doesn't suffer", we aren't supposed to pray for death, so this is the best I can ask for, that he doesn't suffer! I pray that I get to see him before its time for him to go "HOME for eternity", but that is in GOD's hands!
SORRY, I've rambled enough............hope to make the next one!

Sorry to hear that I lost my dad last year due to complications of leukemia. Its truly sad because in most cases if the cancer doesn't get you the treatments will in some form. I hope that they can keep him comfortable!
As far as the meet goes I am pretty much out of it. I have to have some major dental work right around the meet. I will try my hardest to get to the fall meet. As long as I have no class on friday and money is there I should be at that one!

We will all keep him in our prayers, I lost my Grandfather in April 08 to cancer that had spread through his body. That's how I got the Ranger.
I'm still going lol I wanted to go to Layd out, but I had to work! I also have the parentals coming out from Washington, so I was cleaning like mad.

He stopped and got gas and spilled some and was dragging for a camera and it exploded. Hes burnt pretty bad and in I.C.U. He was a member of Freaks Of Nature out of AL. Some of my buddys here that are in FON were right in front of him when it happened.

We rolled in no more than two or so minutes behind from the looks of it.
Hope he turns out alright, truck looked mroe than salvageable from our view, but its hard to see in our video just how charred it is and how the engine bay is (Unless they just popped the hood to kill the battery)

Nah it burnt to the ground. Aint nothing salvageable. It got hot enough to melt his billet aluminum rims. If that means anything.

Ok got better story. Truck is salvageable. Hes got thrid degree burns and got to go home today. Apperently the gas vent tube wasnt tightened all the way which caused it to ignite while dragging. Said it got so hot inside it melted the visors inside the truck. The frame was built by the Little Shop Of Horrors for the previous owner so I think thats why he is pushing to rebuild it. I know alot of clubs not just freaks of nature have alrdy got parts together to help him get it back together. The guy that got burnt up was only 16 which is the worst part of it. His uncle and another person were in the truck when it caught fire. They jumped out while the truck was rolling and when he finally got the truck stopped and jumped out he jumped right into a puddle of gas. Sucks to hear but glad to see him go away from it with just burns.
