I am busy with this on my ranger, should finish this weekend
Used a toyota SFA front axle - 4.88 diff ratio
land rover defender trailing arms and coils - 4"lift
At the back, lifted 4"on suspension
custom built drag link and tie rod using 4130 chromoly pipe, ball joints and rod ends
Shocks is TJM GL12525 front and rear, normally used on the toyota land cruiser's
Project coming along nicely, should finish this weekend, will post pics afterwards

South Africa!!! That's a sweet looking truck too. I want to see the pics!! I don't know if that axle would work on the US and Canadian Rangers though. We have a slightly different Ranger then the rest of the world. But might be a good way to start. What is this running you moneywise? I know that you're using a different currency but we can convert it.

Will post full details after the weekend
Money is lots - around R40k total (USD5000) approx
Toyota axle fits as the diff is on the correct side and the axle is the same width - you guys could probably use the dana axles or something, loads more options available for you :-)
I'll post a full report once completed after the weekend - at the moment the rear is done, but brackets and bushes are being cut for the front...

Sounds awesome!!! 5000 is a lot. And your right we do have a lot of options here in the States.

Hell 5k is not really that much for a SAS on a late model Ranger. And here in the states a toyota axle won't work, the pumpkin is on the wrong side. As for the OP, check out the tech library on TRS theres lots of info over there for your gen ranger.
