Re: SAS swap+lift
Got a legality question. With my truck loaded down for trails the truck weighs in at 5400-5500lbs empty without the spare and 1/4 tank I am around 5100lbs...GVWR is 5380lbs. How bad mojo is it to drive down the freeway?

Re: SAS swap+lift
nah I'm good I asked a local cop and he said the GVWR on a vehicle like mine is null and void so I shouldn't worry about it.

Re: SAS swap+lift
Slight update to this (will have pictures shortly) went down a bit harder of a trail since the front locker was (finally) hooked up and working. Turns out aluminum drive shaft brakes when it is dropped onto a rock...with the weight of a truck over it. On top of that the BW1354 does NOT appreciate being used to drive the vehicle off of the trail in FWD with the rear driveshaft off. Hopefully the tcase is not broken, but my hopes are low. 4Hi has stopped working as a whole after a couple of attempts to drive home in 4Hi. A couple of load clunks later the front drive shaft wont move in 4Hi, 4Low does, but I do not know for how long.
Also picked up a handful of dents all over.

Re: SAS swap+lift
Turns out a ranger isn't the best rock crawler?

Re: SAS swap+lift
Well picked up a steel shaft to steal the slip yolk and ends off of. Also found a tcase skid while I was out there.
