Default help doing 9 inch lift and dana 30 sas

so first this weekend i bought a dana 30 of a 95 jeep yj it has leaf perches so ill do leaves not coils. i have a 91 ranger standard cab with 4.0l and 5 speed it has 4 inch lift currently and 33's.

so i wanna get 8 or 9 inches of lift in the rear id like to do lift leafs instead of blocks for better flex. any one know where i can get leafs like this for cheap and no real fabricating.

then i wanna make up some brackets for leaves in the front and i wanna use factory leafs from the rear up front. does any one have tips there?

im pretty sure i have 4:56 gears right now so i would like to keep rear the same and get those for the dana 30 does any one know where i could find those for cheap?

and im on a serious budget and i can fab up just about anythin. so if you know any web site where some one has done something close to what i wanna do im all ears really need some help

Thanks Nick

first off how big of tires are you planning on running? anything bigger than your 33s your gonna have serious axle breakage... you should sell it and keep your eye out for a dana 44 or 14 bolt. if your on a budget the last thing you want to do is be buying axle shafts and bending housings. i am all for being on a tight budget but that just means it takes a bit more time, but if you dont do it right it will cost you a lot more. as for ideas on the lift go to pirate4x4.com/forum they do a lot of heavy mods to rigs there but be forewarned they are a feisty bunch and will beat ya up, so your skin better be thick.

i was hoping on running 37's. ive heard of people putting dana 44 axels in the 30 i dont know how that works. and i only paid 120 bucks for the dana 30 and it came with evey thing. and if i do dana 44 wont i need fender flares

yeah i wouldnt mess with it with the 30, its too weak, the guy probably took it out of his jeep so he could beef the axle up, i guess you could beef the hell out of the axle but in my opinion its not worth it, you would have to gusset the axle a lot, buy new inners and outers, get a built third or build it yourself, all in all you would end up dumping more money in it than if you just slapped a stock 44 in it.

or if you dont have that kind of money, sell your 30 and save up for an ifs kit for now, with the right suspension in those, they wheel great.

ttb is a form of ifs, it stands for independent front suspension, twin traction beams is a form of ifs. and what im saying is why not save up and build your solid axle right? for now just modify your ttb, and build up the rear suspension. you will be so much more happy than if your having to fix that little dana 30 every time you go out.
