Hey y'all I have a 2000 ford ranger w/ a camburg mid travel kit on 33's and I'm looking into swapping out the old stock axle 3.73 with something bigger lky 8.8 4.10... So has anyone done a swap and is worth the time and energy to do it.... The help would be appreciated

I swapped 3.73 7.5 to 4.10 7.5 and it helped with my 31s I would go to the 8.8 it's a stronger axle and the gears will help the truck

3.73-> 4.10 is a waste of time. Try and go 4.56/4.88 if you want any disconcertable difference.

because you have 33's and heavier suspension mods you will want to jump to 4.56's big you had smaller tires. Like 32's or 31's then 4.10's would be appropriate

If you could find an 8.8 with 4.10s it's a good starting point. A lot of people run 4.10s with 33s and are happy with it. But the right gear ratio would be 4.56

Remember its not a 4.0 so 4.56/4.88 puts the 3.0/2.3/2.5 into its useful torque curve. 4.10's wouldn't be worth the time and effort.

You have mid travel? Is it widen width also? Do you need to match width in the rear? Good time to step up to a econoline 8.8
