Like a lot of the previous posters in this thread, I came here when RF started getting (more) ridiculous. Back when I first got my Ranger (in 2005), I joined RPS and RF... gradually drifted away from RPS altogether after a few months, and hung out on RF. When the attitude shift occurred at RF, and the new owner started banning long-time members and contributors and generally acting like an ass, I started looking around for something else. I found FRF, and recognized several folks from RF (and a couple that I hadn't seen since I used to read RPS!). Like others have said, the atmosphere here on FRF is a lot like the 2005/2006 RF, so I joined up. I still scan through RF once a week or so, but my daily Ranger reading is here on FRF these days -- it's just more comfortable (and certainly more civil!!!) here.

Thanks Tom, for making this forum available -- and thanks to all the 'regulars' (both new converts and refugees and the old timers here) for making the forum what it is.

AGREED! Big thanks to Tom for makin' this place great. I was joking with Shane that not having **** pop up randomly is pretty neat. It's awesome that we can say what's on our mind and it's NOT A BAD THING!!! HUGE thanks to you Tom!

i joined shortly after finding this site on goggle search one night. that was back when the headcount was very low then r-f went to crap and everyone started joining here and the info that everyone brought with them has been awesome. people like stl and fx4wannabe01 have a vast knowledge that i wish i could remember half of what they have forgotten or have stored on their hard drives.lol

I was a regular on R-F until it was starting to turn into crap. I was talking to STL one day and he reccomended FRF. I like it here since there is BS.

Someone hit me up on myspace or facebook a long time ago. I joined up, it was really quite and different layout. I didn't really stay long..........then several months ago, someone else hit me on facebook with FRF so I decided to check it out again. At first, didn't like all the site bashing going on but it has quieted since then so I'm cool with FRF for now. It's nice to be on a site that doesn't have a lot of drama. Keep up the good work Tom and staff!

i'm a pilgrim from r-f as well, dont get me wrong.. its a good site and all, but at some point the constant bickering gets old. i still troll over there occasionally, yet i stay way more active over here. the environment is better and most everyone stays positive. i also like the "perks" of being on FRF like the larger avatar, quote thing next to it and the chat box thingy without having to be a contributor. as a contributor at r-f it kinda pissed me off having my avy reduced for me as well as living under rick's hitler-like rules.

so here i'll stay. thanks tom!!!

I first googled for ranger forums when I was looking for trucks and found this site and rf and trs. Didn't actually get one for several months and totally forgot about it. I had rf bookmarked so I actually remembered of that site. I started going on rf frequently right in the middle of the whole mess. Some people were mentioning stuff about frf in different post over there and then I came back here and only go to rf probably once a week.

I found this and other sites from google. Started the search after I purchased my '03 Ranger, one of the sites actually limited your viewing unless you joined? NEVER went back there! This site has alot of INFO for a new owner and people are upfront but kind of down home. I'm on site everyday now. Thanks to owner and gang for this great site!
