Yesterday I had to do a negative feedback rating on a member and left it at that. Now that we have the new rating system is the member review section going to be an obsolete thing? Also, Mods and Admins, What would be the proper etiquette for negative and positive feed backs? Would you prefer the new rating system or both? My feeling is the negative feedback in the new system is fine in itself and by doing a negative member review its good to inform other members, but it may cause issues like drama, and other unwanted remarks where a moderator may have to step in.

No the review section is not going anywhere, we encourage members to use both. the rating system is helpful for at a glance reference to a members buyer/seller activity but the review section is still useful for trades or sales experiences that you feel needs to be expanded on, such as a negative one. there is nothing wrong with posting a negative review as long as the stickied guidelines are followed ( Product/Company/Member Reviews section guidelines. ) as long as discussions are kept respectful between members there should be no issue. if it gets out of hand thats what the Mods are here for.

Ok, I just figured in the new feedback, if someone looked at it they could just pm me asking for explanation of the negative feedback. I just didnt want to put it out there and see the thread go down hill like the last one, and also keep it to something where the mods or admin does not have to get involved.

I Still use the member review section, I think in some ways it is better than the feedback system. And the feedback system is better in other ways.

i like both the member feedback so you can go and read what kind of experience each member has had with each other... and the feedback system so you dont have to search the whole member review system to see roughly how many ppl they have dealt with...
