off- road section please!!!
To the FRF gods is there a way we can devote a section to how and where we drive our rangers. Off road guys, street and track guys ect. It seems like we have been missing the most important and enjoyed part about our rangers. DRIVING THEM!!!
So...............
With the off road portion we could discuss recovery options, off road driving technique's, a list of local spots and ORV parks etc.
For the street and track guys. Pass times, local tracks, different set ups.
Obviously no street racing stories since that is dangerous and illegal and we can not
Promote activity of that nature.

Re: off- road section please!!!
+1
It would be nice to see forums dedicated to generating more discussion to driving off road. Something that I would definitely enjoy reading through.

Re: off- road section please!!!
Possible.
My concerns as as follows:
- Local trail discussion and other local discussion should be done in the regional sections.
- The offroad section will become a haven for a "what's the best tire" & "want to lift my truck" type threads.
- Not sure there's enough discussion to warrant it's own section.

Could be used for OffRoad stories, videos and pics.
Could be use to discuss various trails and not by region for those looking to explore
Have tips for proper offroading (I.E. Gear, tires, lifts, techinics, etc)
Could blend Prerunners and mudders together for a good mix
I dunno I think it could work.

Videos & pics have their own section.
Every trail is located in a region, every region has its own section.
Gears, tires, & lifts have their own section.
Which basically leaves stories & techniques.

Dont leave out the lowered guys. That's the other half of the section. You can make these rangers fast whether its dropping a 5.0 in it or making your 3.0/4.0 a stroker, turbo, what ever the point is people like showing off what their truck can do this could be the place to do it. Like what Rango said trips, pics, vids, safety tips trip summaries. Let's see what every one thinks?

I have to disagree with that categorization.
If you're going generalize it like that, then we don't need a tires or exhaust section, because there are already sections for engines and specific trucks...
If you're going to generalize it, then u would only need these sections:
2.3l
2.5l
2.9l
3.0l
4.0l
5.0l
Each truck has its own engine, its own electrical, its own suspension, etc...
If u have an electrical or suspension issue, well go to your engine section. If u want to know what exhaust u should go with, go to your engine section, and so on.
Every truck has an engine, there's already sections for engines..
But why stop there...just have sections devoted to the model years or generations?
Specific categories will help keep stuff organized, easy to find, and may create redundancy. You may find pics and info for off-roading in the pictures section, suspension section, tire section, and regional sections..
I would rather click to an actual off-road section than have to search thru the regional sections, which are suppose to be for locating and communicating with local members...i want to see what everyone is doing off road, not just within my region.
There's not really anywhere to off-road here in Minnesota, there's only 2 public places and they are far far apart, if I want to know how to do something pertaining to off-road, I dont want to dig thru all the region sections, and clearly California and southern regions have more...
Just my 2 cents..
Do we need an Off Road section, or a Street Track section, probably not...but what would it hurt?

True enough, but all of those have a lot more going on than off-road "stuff". I'll be the first to say I have a hard time figuring out the the categorization on this site. Half the time, I see things moved and can't figure out why.
I will say an off road section would be a great place to put not just technique, but media related to off-roading. Sure there is a media section already, but it is flooded with stuff unrelated to off-roading. Modifcations related to offroading? I would say that would be fine in the off-roading sections.
The current wheels/tires, suspension, and other forums will still have posts but perhaps they will be more general and less related to off-roading.
