When do you think we will have 5,000 members?
We are already approaching the 4,000 member marker and 5,000 members would be a huge achievement. So I'm curious, when do you guys think we will have 5,000 members?

How significant is that number when only a handful of those 4,000 post regularly?

If you give me the numbers, say by month, I can work up a separable differential equation to model population growth.
As far as increasing member count, I'm sporting the forum logo on the truck, mentioning it on FB, talking about it when I talk to other Ranger drivers, and drinking heavily.

I can see the daily/weekly/monthly signup numbers but giving those out would kill the fun. Plus, the number of signups fluctuate so much as it is.

Look around any forum that shows their member activity stats and you will see that with any decent size forum, regardless of the subject, only a fraction of the members actually participate regularly. It's to be expected. Regardless, the more members who join, the more who will participate, which encourages others to participate, and it's a continuous cycle of growth.

As long as the BS/kiddy name calling stays at a minimum, this site should reach 5k pretty soon. I honestly believe this site will eventually out grow RF and TRS.

if were already at 4,000 we should probably be at the 5,000 point mark pretty soon. from my experience it seems like a lot of people signed up around the same time i did. oct/nov 2009.

I think we'll hit 5k eventually. Whenever I see a good looking ranger around town, I leave a note under their wiper complimenting their work on the rig and leave the URL for frf.

Tom --
I cannot give an estimate on when we might reach 5,000 members, because you're withholding the historical statistics upon which I would base my projection.
...as for what I'm doing to help increase membership, mostly word-of-mouth at this point -- but I personally got three people to sign up here within my first week of membership, and they're all fairly frequent posters, too!
