Default Cleaning and detailing section

I think we need a cleaning and detailing section so that way we can post up topics about our cleaning and detailing products.

A detailing section is actually a very good idea!!
Lots of products, methods, and questions about all kinds of
things from corroded alloys to raiding paint, swirl removal glass plastic polish
tyre dressing, snowfoam......exterior forum is all well and good for bodywork but anyone
who details a car will know there are whole FORUMS dedicated to detailing.
It's actually a great idea.
I support it 100%

I would also like to suggest a form section for good looking members,
I'm sure the other good looking members would like to hang out with
other good looking members to talk about anti wrinkle creams, teeth whitening
and hair products.
I'm tired of being forced to talk to people on here who have bad breath and even
worse sock fashion.
It's not the 80's people!! pastel colours are just not acceptable here.
I have to leave now as I am already running late for my colonic Irrigation and crack
and sack wax.

Make it happen Admin!!! or I want my membership fees back!

It's not always an easy job lol

Do you think a detailing section is a good idea?
A section for maintaining your car?
That's a pretty big section all by itself!

not to degrade this already questionable side bar but, the use of "spread" would probably have been better suited for later conversations. just my 2 pents.

back on subject...i've seen some footage of people using some type of cleaners and a buffers to restore the clarity to flexible plastic windows on (dare i say it...) jeeps and the like and i'd be interested in something on that for my bug deflector. yeah i know they're not too popular right now but i'm an older guys and still dig mine and it's all clouded up.

I still think a detailing forum is a great idea, why do we not have a poll and let the members vote?
Most forums that i have been a member on have had one, its really very useful for stains, marks, touchup and stuff like that.

Can the Mods at least think about it? or pull a poll up?

95% of us are not using the trucks down a building site, and care care is for most of us something we all take part in.

You shouldn't be withholding information because a specific forum hasn't been created for that topic. Typically I've only been making new forums when I see a lot of discussion on a particular subject. So the idea of not posting until the specific section is created isn't going to work in your favor.

Not entirely, the exterior isn't the only placed cleaned. The interior, engine bay, and even the frame benefit from a good cleaning.

Thanks Tom, glad to see your open minded mate,
I'm really into detailing and have all kinds of methods
and products, I don't really wantto spend ages posting pics
of my detailed truck and products to have the posts buried under
threads of bumper mods

I like the idea of having a detailing section... maybe to to see what I have done (and other members of course) and see what steps/products/techniques they have used. I think it would be a good learning section for those trying to maintain their trucks and such.... The only thing I guess I don't like about some "detailing forums" is people posting a vehicle they detailed with no description of work done and such, and these members aren't very active making me believe they are just posting to sell their services in a way... just a though

I have posted a few threads that might be helpful to members on here, but I know they get lost because of the amount of new threads coning up:
