Official Logo?
I noticed from day one that the forum doesn't have any type of logo. Are any plans in the works? If not, I think a contest amongst the membership to create one would be fun. If not a contest, at least the opportunity to submit ideas.
 Just a thought.....

I was going to dust of the old photoshop for Tom when I had a chance, but the chance just has not come up. But if you have an idea throw it out there! We can get a few designs going, then have a vote. Tom probably would not mind.

What kind of logo do we want?
A picture of something. Word art. A combination of all. I am not an artist,so this will probably fall to someone with artistic ability, but we need an idea of what we want and the colors we want it to be. Ray

i say the logo should be "ford blue" with possibly a ford symbol in faded into the background with the word "ranger" in a bad-ass font

i think the logo should have all the models of the ranger with a ford background. in words put something of national ranger club or something in old english sytle text

Usually good to go with a nice font with the site for stickers and such. Then for shirts and apparel type stuff get some outlines/pics of member's trucks. But we cannot use the Ford logo anywhere...there have been problems with FoMoCo and other sites using their logo.

I agree about not using the Ford shield, I am also curious about using the Ranger symbol with out permission. Some time back I saw a Ranger add in a magazine, behind Ranger was a circled R, standing for registered trademark.
I don't know how to go about getting permission to use any of these, but there is a way, and seeing as we are dealing with the education, use and repair of a Ford product, we may find it easier. Ray

Most sites find a font they like and use that for their site. So we need to start throwing up some fonts and see what we like best. We can get a bunch of people to post some up and then get a poll going for an official logo. Then when we get to getting apparel out we can get some more extravagant designs going.
