LOL....that is the most mindless comment I have ever heard in my life!

FYI for all those reading.....THIS is a politcal thread.

Yes, we are all engaged in a political thread right now so it should be banned! The moderators are the governing officials on this forum, and the responders/users are the citizens! MUWAHAHA!

WE ARE ALL ENGAGING IN A POLITCAL THREAD!!!!:sta r:

Mods are voted in and amount.of activity is not a great deciding factor. Either way we are not here to discuss the matter of moderators. How the site.is ran is not up to contributing members. It is up to Tom and the moderators. And we are not going to change thinge because two or three members do not like the way things are ran or are hurt over a new rule

You do not see every single post on this forum, including the deleted ones. Especially when you support this claim by linking to other political threads that have resulted in numerous deleted posts, infractions, and yes, you linked to threads where users were banned... and then claimed there were no arguments in any of the threads.

This is a FREE forum with open discussion. If we get rid of political topics, lets get rid of all the other BS on here like the "Off Topic" section, or the "what song are you listening to now" thread, or how about the "Offical Vent Thread".

This site is broken down into sections so viewers can CHOOSE which posts they want to read and respond to. You are taking away the right to argue about politics? Are you kidding me? I am not contributing next year.....

----------

KEEP POLITICAL THREADS AND MAKE POOLEO A MODERATOR TO SUPERVISE THEM!!!

Vote: +1
In an ideal place it would work the way you're speaking. However, just because the flame wars originate in the political threads does not mean they end in the political threads. The political threads are like a virus, almost every thread results in hostility between members, that hostility spreads outside of the political threads, other members start seeing the hostility and more hostility is brewed.

Moderator status isn't a matter of activity.

I fully understand where Tom and the mods are coming from. This site is not restricted and needs to be kept clean.

However, webster426 stated a valid point about the threads being sectioned off so users can filter through what they want and don't want to read.
The political threads don't bother me one bit because I simply don't read them. But I guess there are people who don't know how to stay away from the fire. (not pointing any fingers, just saying in general.)

But like I said, political or no political threads... I don't care. If it weren't for Tom and the mods, we all wouldn't be here. So the buck stops with them.
Thank you.

So let me get this straigt. There is to be NO political threads, because they cause forums to fall apart, they cause hatred, they can lead to people "stalking" others, it will ruin familys, friends and this forum. It will create hate and animosity. It will also drive off members.

Yet none of this has been proven. The mods/admin claims that they are "behind the scene's, moderating" When I know very well, that for the last 2 months, there has not been ONE single problem with the 9 political threads. The "few" that do cause problems have been taken care off. I have seen all the posts on these threads, why? because when a political thread comes up, I am actively engaged in it. I have 3 monitors here, 1 is always dedicated to a "thread" and is constantly being refreshed. If a post is posted, I was sure to see it.

Let the political threads ride until there is a problem. So far, there has not been a problem.

Dont take it out of context. I am referring to the political threads only here. And yes, there are problems, and guess what? they always come from the same 3-4 members.

So if you are doing the moderating and keeping the forum clean, what then is the problem with allowing them to continue? it comes down to being lazy and not wanting to "deal" with it. So all the "horrible" things come out about why they are so bad, but I have yet to see these results.

Good! if people are getting banned. Lets take Demon for instance, he came into a thread, spouted off and ban hammer was swung. Good, the moderation has been done.

How many times does it have to be said for you to understand. Those threads u posted had deleted post in them. It is not possible for you to remember every single post in detail.

If I have to stop watching the baseball game to prove to you I will.

You're right, I cant remember every single post. But I surely would remember the ones that stir the shit pot!

How many times do you need to be told to understand, IT IS THE SAME FEW MEMBERS CAUSING THE PROBLEMS!!!!

This is we're you are wrong Jason, almost every political/ religious thread has resulted in some kind of activity requiring moderation or have resulted in multiple reported posts. We wouldn't have added those topics to the rules if it was all flowers and butterfly's in those threads. We have all grown tired of the endless political threads because of the near constant babysitting that is required on our part because of such topics. You can argue all day that they don't cause issues but I promise you, they do and they always will. Many of the other nearly 20 other forums I'm a member of have banned political threads and it's for the exact same reasons as we have listed here. I'm personally glad that we made this move, nothing good has ever come out of any political or religious thread that I've seen.
