Frf new members question

With almost 30,000 members. we are at 29,930 right now is there a way to know how many members join on average everyday?

-is there something special to comemorate (sorry for the spelling) the 30,000 or even the 50,000 members when it happens?

when 30,000 happens, anyone with over 3000 posts should get a free contributorships

I just mean the theme could be the same but perhaps the Ranger at the Top could be made bigger and the plate would read "30Kmbrs" or something

I think "free contributorship" is a little bit of a contradiction.

I think that anyone with over say... 5,000 posts gets a free contributing membership, free FRF pullover hoodie.

I disagree with the "free" contributor title for over a certain amount of posts. Perhaps a different sign, but not "Contributor". The "Contributor" title shows who is actually donating to help pay the bills (ie. storage space, bandwidth, domain fees, etc).

I know I haven't been here long, but I have run many websites and a few successful forums in my day, and that is simply my opinion. Giving people who just post here (not saying "just posting here" is a bad thing) the Contributor icon would pool those who donate and those who contribute to threaded conversations into one category, and I don't think that is the right way to go.

Exactly. Plus there are enough people here who whore the new member intro section to pad their post counts to begin with. That would just encourage pointless posts even more. Its call "CONTRIBUTOR" for a reason. Those who contribute... money, not their keystrokes.
