A tech section is quite an undertaking. The info isn't the problem, it's how best to format it.

Yeah, I notice that aswell, but if you really look around here, you can find some off road and V8 related topics. Its a nice mix here at FRF

Yeah, you couldnt really format it just like TRS's because then they would probably get angry with us....

You would need a few people ,

1 tech writer ( technical ability )
2. tech doc publisher ( someone with experience on writing the docs in format and possibly posting the docs )
3. Admin to verify the postings and check the final contact .

By doing it this way , you would need different people with different jobs . That way not one person is involved , maybe everyone could volunteer for a month a year ?

3 people X 12 is 36 people per year for 1 month . Thats how we do our tech publishing ...

I think it's a good idea, but we are all going to have to help on this. This isn't something you compile overnight. Oh and if we could NOT steal all of TRS's info straight, so there is no legal issues. We would have to do something on our own

That's a pretty good breakdown of what we need. A decent amount of users offering assistant but no one is really saying what they are capable (or willing) to do.

Indeed. This is more than just a copy/paste project.

I would contribute what I can. I know that I have done some things others have not. Might as well do what we can.

We have how-to's which are based on experience.
Then I believe we have things such as tire size charts and wire color guides etc. which are compilations of directly referenced information.
Those could have a "go-to" page that would link to them so they could be linked to and be easier to find.

What other types of resource materials is anyone thinking about having?

We can use TRS's as a reference and expand on it for sure. I know a lot of their stuff on axles has helped me out A LOT! At least as far as making decisions on things etc

We would need someone that could actually be a technical expert ... The rest can be trainable .

I have the business sense but I lack the automotive technicality .
