either way, doing it that way defeats the whole purpose anyways
This is correct, we are limited to the forum software, and the forum software doesn't allow the same exact thread (and all replies to that thread) to be in multiple location.

I'll agree that it's more of a burden when accessing FRF from a phone. However, I do not believe a couple extra clicks on a phone outways the benefits to a neatly organized classified section. Especially considering most of the activity on the forum is done through a computer.
I'm not sure why you believe you can't find stuff you didn't want. The same exact content still exists. I would actually argue that it's EASIER to find stuff you didn't want.
There are some classified items that most users have no interest in, and thus by removing those items into different sections, it grants more exposure to other items.
Lets imagine someone who has a slightly modified Ranger with a tire/wheel combo they like and is just browsing the classifieds just in case that impulse buy kicks in. They would not be interested in trucks for sales, not be interested in tires/wheels, not be interested in the funny ads. So when they open a classified section (yes, they may have to open more than one) all they will see are items that may be of potential interest.
- See 25 threads
- 3 tire threads, 1 truck thread, 2 funny ads
- 6 threads of no interest
- Only see 19 threads that may meet the criteria of many users
- Click page two, see another 19 threads that may be of interest
This way separates items of interest, or non-interest. Thus IMHO, you're actually going to discover more items.

Unfortunately no. We are limited by the forum software.
