When did this forum start? What/who was the first post?

I looked thru the threads, oldest post I found was November 2008. Just was curious as to who the first post belonged to, what it was about, how many members were here in the fisrt week, etc, etc. I figure Tom must have had the first post!

Forum started in late November 2008. I was the first registered member, my account was created the same time the forum was created.

When I created it I didn't promote it for a while, so to address your question about how many members we had during the first week, the answer is approximately two, give or take.

First post? No idea. Probably just me posting random test stuff trying to figure out how the forum software works.

Or due to the total lack of activity and lack of members it might have been me posting something like this:

how did you initially get it up and running? lots of servers? did you do all the code writing and such yourself? or is it a program you can modify?

This forum runs on one server. I did not do much coding at all in the grand scheme of things, I purchased a piece of forum software called vBulletin. Yes it's definitely something you can modify, and I have modified this forum quite a bit.

The initial setup is not that complex, but it's definitely not something where "if you build it, they will come." The value of FRF lies in the community and content, not the software & backend stuff.

Lol I was talking Boomhower . Does that mean that the forum will get a huge revamp, one the Ranger deserves to have?
