New Feedback System

I've added a new eBay style feedback system to the forum. Some of you have experience using this script, for those that don't here's the basics:

Simply open a users profile, click on their feedback tab and you can new view their feedback ratings as well as leave them feedback. Ratings are giving a numerical value, 1 positive 0 neutral -1 negative. The users rating is the sum of their total feedback.

So for those of you who have bought or sold items from other members, feel free to leave them the appropriate feedback.

How is it setup to prevent abuse of people leaving pos. Or neg. For the fun of it?

I like it!

Like everything online, there's bound to be people who abuse it... but you guys (mods/admins) tend to take care of those things pretty well.

i just reviewed 3 people that i have either bought or sold to on my time there. i think it's set up that people can't really abuse it. i mean, i'm sure it will, but it probably won't be too bad. The only thing i have to say bad against it is that you can only do 3 a day. to be honest, on a normal day i know you won't have more than 3 people to review. but in trying to catch up, it will probably be a pain. As long as everybody uses these this can be a good deal.

Sounds good to me... I'm with STL though, what says someone doesn't go leave a neg feedback 'cause of something unrelated to selling?

all it reads is:

Terry if you're looking at your profile it's one of the tabs along with info, statistics, visitor messages, etc.

Didn't realize the 3 per day limit... it'll take me 10 years to review everyone here I've bought/sold/traded with.

... better get started now...

I modified the feedback info panel so it blends in better with the rest of the user date (name, join date, location, etc.). Also compacted the data so it looks cleaner (removed the unnecessary words).

A good staff and the ability to utilize the ban hammer.

The script has a few things built into it to prevent abuse, such as various flood control options. Realistically though, we will cross that bridge when the time comes.

Hopefully it's not an issue we have to deal with.

I think its a good idea. I have run into people asking me if I ever dealt with someone and thought the same thing when I first started here. It definately helps when going through the classifieds and adds more confidence for both buyer and seller. Also a good incentive for everyone to be standup sellers and buyers.

Any chance you guys could increase the # of feedback left per day to 5 or so??

I'm already at my limit of 3 & I haven't even started yet.
