Moderators Only Contest

Hi guys, I have been wanting to do this for some time, Clinton a great member here spoke about this through pm at one time, Although he was not the one that actually thought of this, he did in fact validate what I had been planning to do.

I would like Moderators including the Admin to enter this contest, I would need Tom to help fine tune it for me, The contest will be for a pair of Offroad PIAA's Ion light, and a pair of PIAA's high intensity reverse lights, I have admired many of the mods on this site and feel they need to be rewarded with something also.

1- A picture of your truck in black/white with a hint of actual color in the same pic, you might have to have photoshop to do this, For example, black/white photo with maybe your trucks color only in the pic or anything with color, must be a single color item only.

2- Also a small paragraph of the reason you love and own a ranger and whats your future plans with it, Thanks guys and I wish all of you the best of luck.

p.s if any of you feel you do not qualify or wont enter for some reason, it will hurt my feeling,

One post per Staff, so if you have questions/comments that arise after you've already made your one and only post then post them in this thread: "attention moderators or admin" or pm me, no other members should post great contest or thanks in this thread, all others should post in the above mentioned thread, thanks!

p.s Only I will be able to comment in this thread, all others shall respond in the appropriate thread.

One reason for my love of my ranger is my mother. She had a brand new Ford Taurus. I took her to Ford one day so she could have something done to it. We were just walking through the parking lot. We came to the ranger section. I kept eye balling two of them. We continued on looking. Her car was finally done and she said. "Which one you like and which one you want?" I was in shock. She said she would pay the down payment to help keep the monthly payment at the current payment of my 03 XL ranger.

My mother had cancer at that time for about 8 years. On my birthday in 2006 she had secretly paid off my truck and gave me the title to me with just my name on it. 36 days later she passed away. Every time I drive my truck she is "riding shot gun" with me.

I have some plans for the truck. I wish to keep them secret as I am still gathering parts. Some people know what I am doing. My 6 year old son also one day has plans to take over the ownership of the truck. He likes to also work on it with me. Rather it be washing it or replacing brakes or wheel bearings.

Here is my entry.

The reason I love this truck is the time I was able to share with my dad rebuilding it from its totaled state when I first bought it. It was 2002 and I was 19 when I bought this truck and I had the pleasure to spend 3 months in my dads shop doing what i could to help him repair it. Not only did I get to know this truck on a level most dont get to but I enjoyed the time spent with my father as well as the things I learned along the way. This truck wouldnt be what it is today without the help of my father, for that Im ever grateful. The trucks been a work in progress for most of its life with me, starting out with small stuff and working up to the bigger. The lift and tires was kind of a welcome home present to myself after my over year long deployment in Iraq in 04-05 and I made it a point to build this truck in memory of my friend that didnt come home with us as well as the many other men and women that gave there lives for this country. This truck is far more than just a vehicle, its worth far more than money to me. for me the memory's surrounding it and the time invested in it makes this truck priceless to me and I hope to someday pass it down to one of my kids for them to enjoy. Before that day comes I hope to have a solid axle sitting under the front of it and some kind of motor swap done as well, but Im undecided on what that will be just yet.

Wow! you guys keep this up. I will be forced to do a 1st, 2nd, 3rd and maybe 4th prize, Those are really good pics, Not even I know how you guys did that, More entries please. Thanks I really appreciate you guys entries.

Sorry to hurt your feelings Bru...but I no longer own a Ranger...and not sure those would look right on my lil civic...haha.

Justin you are a moderator and don't have to own a ranger, The contest is for Moderators,Admin,Staff, So please put up a black and white pic with some colr in it, since this is a ranger forum, its easy to put up contest for rangers, But again you are staff, The contest never stated as someone else said if you don't own one, don't add a pic, Please by all means add a pic with that beautiful Honda. Thanks
