Well I was reading another thread and a few of the other guys think its a good idea and so do i so what do you think MODS can we get a chat box on here?

Also a chat where it can be one on one chat instead of a whole group of people that talk all at once and us old people cant keep up

I'd suggest against it. There was a chat box added to another forum i'm on, and although at first it went great, it's like a ghost town now. That forum has a similar member amount to this one. We can't get enough people to post in the After Hours thread, so I don't see how the chat box is gonna be any better.

I wonder who will be the first to mistake this threads intentions of suggesting a chat box with being simply a thread someone started to actually be a chat box. I'll start.

Now one person said they tried a chat box once before, the after hours thread is ok and all I just think it would be a little easier with the box maybe.

we have a shout box on a couple forums I work at, for the most part they are ok, but people tend to abuse them a bit..

We use to have one because members demanded it. It didn't last long due to lack of use after it was up. Only problem with it was you couldn't see who was on. Tom had thrown a idea out there for a better chat room and no one offered to do anything.
