Hey guys,

Unfortunately our database became corrupted yesterday resulting in some down time. Once this was was discovered a repair was attempted, and I was able to successfully bring FRF back online. However, some of the data had been permanently lost, such as threads, posts, and even user accounts. Most of the lost posts and threads were from yesterday, but lost user accounts seemed to be from a random range.

Due to the variety of issues being faced I determined that it would be best to restore yesterdays backup and start from a solid foundation. Unfortunately by doing so, we have lost essentially all of yesterdays activity.

If you had sent any important messages yesterday (EG: private messaging about buying/selling an item) I recommend you contact the user again to ensure they received the message.

Yeah I was pretty upset about the decision.... but then I figured that we've been online for some 600 days or so, so in the long run this one day of tragedy (slight over exaggeration? lol) will probably be nothing.

Posts were lost as I said in the OP but I'm not sure how you lost a weeks worth of PMs when the restoration was about a 24 hour jump back in time.

On a side note, I'm going to send out a mass email about this. Seems that the evening crowd is online as I'm getting a bunch of PMs & emails about missing posts.
