Google says website is a known phishing site
Not sure if you know or not, but when trying to access the forum through Chrome, I get a warning stating this is a known phishing site and people may try to take my info.

Re: Google says website is a known phishing site
This is most likely to do with the filehost72 site you would randomly get forwarded to when trying to access this site. I believe it's an advertiser problem, but i've no idea if the mods are active on this forum.

Re: Google says website is a known phishing site
same here.. My Windows did 2 updates this morning and If anyone else's did likely will see these popping up from whatever they did.
Sept 15th, The federal reserve has enacted a new policy where if you buy something ONline, you know longer have your 2-3 days of protection as a customer to make sure its not a fraudulent sale. As of Sept 15th, ALL sales Online or Otherwise normal commerce everywhere will NOW BE instantaneous.
So not only does that mean if you dont "really" have the funds in the account and you play that 2-3 day window game.. You AREN'T getting your product/purchase/gas at the pump.
Not only that but there is evidence that if the Government wanted to do a 'Bail in', which is when the banks literally take money out of your accounts to bail the Government out; Think Greece, Crete, Italy... etc over the last couple years having issues with the Euro currency (btw is only been in use since 1999/00 and having issues)..
I'm sure we'll be seeing quite a few new CHANGES over the next few days ladies and gentlemen... quite a few

After my Windows update yesterday I also got this red page warning, I also knew about the file share issue and only enter this site by typing the complete web address to avoid getting redirected.
However I will no longer be visiting this site on my computer since I do not want to back off on my security to accommodate a poorly maintained website just to try and help people with their vehicle issues.
When I am using my iPad I will still come here yet with the auto correct spell checker BS I know it is a matter of time before I stop coming here all together.
If the sites owner and Moderators will not lift a finger to help themselves they deserve to have this site shut down from lack of traffic.
What does this site being reported as a phishing site have to do with what you are talking about?
I am it being critical just trying to understand the connection.

Re: Google says website is a known phishing site
Bottom line, Is this site safe? I have enough trouble with 'puters without more BS I don't understand. Getting the phishing warning myself.
Feel like I'm taking a big risk just being here now.

Re: Google says website is a known phishing site
I think the site is safe, yet using google chrome to access it you have to turn off security features to access it which can allow you to visit a fake site.
As long as you remember to turn the notifications back on you should be safe.
Scammers are getting creative to get your personal information, things like this just make us work harder to get where we want to go.
As of now I can no longer find this site by doing a search for This forum without typing in the complete web address and then I get the red window warning with no way to access it unless I use a different browser.
For now I plan on just keeping up with my subscribed threads until the people needing help have been help and their problem is resolved or they do not respond in a timely manor.
After that I will exclusively use the other Ford Ranger forum that I use on a daily basis anyways.

Re: Google says website is a known phishing site
Thanks. When I come here, from my shortcuts, the entire address is used, so I guess I'm safe?
I've been a paid member here for a few years, and feel like the site problems aren't being addressed. If things don't change, soon, I'll no longer be here either.
I'm on a couple other sites as well, but really haven't found one that has the traffic this one "used to" have.
I wish the "mods, administrators" would just come out and tell us what's going on. It shouldn't be a big secret, especially to the paid members. Evidently, there are a large number of members that know something, and obviously, I'm not in the inner circle.

Re: Google says website is a known phishing site
The site itself is safe, you don't need to turn off any security to visit here, even with Chrome.
You only need to hit the bottom link in the picture i posted (above) which is to 'visit this unsafe site'
The reason is just Google's reported/unsafe site listing, just a lookup/reference table and again, it's because of that filehosting72 site that sometimes came up (advertiser i think)
Either way, don't go turning off any security features, it's not required, its not new, it exists for many other sites too, this is just an update for Chrome users, it's a small annoying pain, but not a problem.

Pizz on bank accounts, given that the majority of Americans live paycheck to paycheck and are so insecure financially that if they lost their job, they are ~ two months away from a personal economic train wreck and therefore, pickings will be somewhat slim. Instead, go for peoples ROTH IRAs, raid something meaningful that works like a double edge sword (for them).
Oh, and Firefox has "the warning" too.

My portfolio includes charitable contributions to FRF so I guess I'm safe. Which I never got stickers for BTW.

Re: Google says website is a known phishing site
Cool, I've got it now!
As is obvious, I'm no computer kid.
I've become somewhat of a paranoid with ID theft, people thinking it's cool to screw up anothers computer, etc.
One thing I have learned, and baffles me, how the language has changed, and some terms no longer apply to what they did.
I must be out of touch. I don't care really, my wife and dog still like and put up with me. Usually.
