A signature is not retroactively added to old posts. If they posted, then created a signture, their old posts will still remain signatureless.

Not to start anything honestly, but are you sure this is 100% correct? I have updated my sig a couple times and when I look at old posts after I updated it my old posts also had the new signature...

I know I'm not going crazy here.. lol

You're comparing new signature vs old signature. I'm comparing no signature vs signature.

Basically when you make a post your signature is included and the forum software adds a little bit of code to output your signature. If you didn't have a signature at the time of the post then it wont put in that bit of code to output your signature... however once you have a signature the outputted signature is always your current signature.

When you register to the forum, you get a message from Tom (or some administrator, not sure about this), where it is stated that you should create a signature, add an avatar, and to introduce yourself. I guess many people don't read that message.
