Default Thanks button?

i think a "thanks" button should be added to every post so instead of saying "nice/cool dude" you can thank them by simply clicking a button at the bottom. this would help keep huge threads down to a few pages instead of being a lot of pages.

what does everyone think of this idea?

I can't really think of many threads that is cluttered with posts that say "thanks" and only "thanks."

IMHO, it's not necessary. We are a community, we interact with each other and write out our comments.

Exactly. Many people say thanks and write more to it (EG: Thanks, I'm going to try it next weekend) which adds to the whole community feel (eg: allows the person to ask if they finished over the weekend).

and if there was a bottom at the bottom I would rather slap it then click it

so if we could make a open hand that makes a slapping motion would be good

Are people really thankful for what I said to them ...or are they just pushing the spank ass button over and over?
