Angry Why do webmasters use Vbulletin?

One major problem with this site is with this Vbulletin's software. This is about the most annoying software out there. It is extremely hard to find what you want with this website software. I want to know why webmasters use this software. It can't be easy to program if it is this hard to find something.

It's been working great for many many years. I don't know what you're problem is but I suspect it has very little to do with vbb

I've only received a few complaints about the forum like this, and usually it also contains a line like "this is like a facebook for Ranger owners, I just want answers" or "I just want answers, I don't want to be part of a community" or something similar. The fact of the matter is that this isn't a static website like wikipedia, this is a dynamic ever evolving community of Ranger owners.

Regarding your question, this isn't a typical website, it's a forum and there are only a few major forum companies. Basically all forums have the same general concepts and methods of execution, various sub forums, new threads, replies to threads, etc. the user experience is usually very similar regardless of which forum is being used, it's the backend operations where the forum software usually differs. So to answer your question, vBulletin is by far been the most reputable forum software company out there, and thus we use vBulletin.

I dont know anything much about that high tech mumbo jumbo but I seem to glide through this site with ease and see no real problems. This was the first forum I joined and the main reason for that was because it is so user friendly IMO.

I have no trouble "finding" anything on this website or any other Vbulletin website.
maybe JDSN needs to learn how a forum works
