The small wire on the solenoid that comes from he switch sometimes gets corroarded and soesn't make good contact, especially if its the one with the spade type.

Re: Rebuilding most/all the front end, need recommendations

Not really much difference between good, better and best, we use moog, made in china but seem to hold up longer than some other brands.

Re: Help diagnosing clutch issue

You might flush it, and fill back with the correct oil and get lucky, stranger things have happened, but be perpaired to pull and rebuild it.

Re: Question on rough idle??

A cracked block or head, bad head gasket would most likely show up as white smoke from the exhaust, or coolant being pushed from the over flow tank. At that milage on the 3.0, the rough idle could...

Re: Need some help

Most likely its engine oil, if its the 3.0 could be the sending unit leaking, but harder to replace would be the rear main seal. And as Ordinary Biker said, might be for removing the tq nuts.

Re: Name of piece on shifter and more

It may be called the shifter stud, just replacing the plastic half balls won't fix the slack. There are shims and wafer washers that need to be put in that will apply pressure and take the slop out.

Re: Missing mounting parts for Fork/slave on an '83

There needs to be a rod between the slave and the fork, the slave can push the fork to release the clutch. There needs to be a boot over the end of the slave, and a clip holds the rod to the fork,...
