Fuel tank skid plate

If anyone in socal has a fuel tank skid plate for a '99 supercab ranger that they want to get rid of, I'd be happy to buy it off you. Might be willing to buy from further away if shipping isn't too...

Re: Can I use coil spring shocks on a 4x4 torsion bar truck?

Yeah, that's what I thought. These fox shocks though are for a 3" lift so it would probably be the right length on a 4x4.

I might if I'm not feeling quite so spendy

Can I use coil spring shocks on a 4x4 torsion bar truck?

This might be a dumb question but I'm gonna ask anyways, please bear with me :D. I do a lot of washboard road driving and I'd really like a beefier shock. I was looking at these:...

Re: How practical are 33s with a t-bar crank

I'm running bilstein 4600s up front and they're doing a good job with the truck leveled. I do like the way the 265s look though, I just want as much height as possible without rubbing on the trail.

Re: How practical are 33s with a t-bar crank

Definitely gonna go with the pizza cutter tire then. Either 235/85r16 or 33x10.50r15. Anyone got a set of 15 inch wheels they wanna trade me? :D

Re: How practical are 33s with a t-bar crank

How much do you rub, if at all? Also, how do you know what t-bars you have? I have the off-road package so I think mine came with stiffer bars.

Re: How practical are 33s with a t-bar crank

Hmmm, okay. If 285/75r16 is probably too big, do you think if I went to 15 inch wheels 33x10.50 would be any better?

How practical are 33s with a t-bar crank

So I've read the tire size guide, and I know that 285/75r16 tires can fit on my truck with cranked t-bars, but there seem to be conflicting reports on how useful they will be off road. I don't do...

Re: Driving PVH ranger without orange cv axle clips

As long as it doesn't mess up the hub and cv axle I'm okay with it. I wont be using 4x4 or anything. Would the cv axle being loose cause any damage? I need the truck to go to work.

Driving PVH ranger without orange cv axle clips

Hi guys, I just replaced all four ball joints on my truck and had to destroy those stupid orange snap rings to get the CV axles out. Can I drive my truck while I wait for the new ones to come in the...

Re: Weird starting and intermittent stumbling

I had a bad IAC with the moose call that I replaced with a cheap chinese one because I didn't want to pony up 100 bucks for a motorcraft unit. Is there a way to test the IAC?

Weird starting and intermittent stumbling

Hi guys, I've been having this problem on and off for a month now. Sometimes I'll cold start the truck and it'll idle really low for about 2-3 seconds kinda like it's about to run out of fuel, then...

Re: The "what do you hate about your Ranger today" thread

I'd have to agree. I had to replace just as many parts this month then I ever did the whole time I ever owned my old carburated Jeep Wagoneer.

Re: The "what do you hate about your Ranger today" thread

My ranger's been nothing but problems the last few weeks. 3 weeks ago I went to replace the front shocks, and found out that the tire shop had cross threaded one of my lugnuts. Went through the whole...

Yeah, I actually just went out and did that. Seems like an improvement but I hope it's not just the placebo effect. Thanks guys.

Did you have any misfire codes or anything? What's tripping me out is that I have no codes at all.

1999 stumbling when accelerating and stalling at idle

Hi guys, newbie here, I was wondering if anybody had any idea what was going on with my truck. My truck will idle and run smooth, but when accelerating above 50% throttle it'll start stumbling and it...
