Re: BIg lurching when acceleerating?

Nothing has happened on my end. At first I thought maybe I was causing it to do that by varying my pressure on the gas pedal.

My buddy has a Ranger as well and his does he same thing. I wonder if...

Re: BIg lurching when acceleerating?

Mine does the same thing sometimes and always has since I got the truck 3 1/2 years ago. Feels like it gets stuck in 1st gear then pops hard into second.

Yeah it's a muffler that I guess is pretty rare seeing how nobody seems to have heard of it including myself. Muffler shop recommended it so I gave it a shot. So far so good, almost sounds like a...

Re: Aero turbine muffler?

Well guys I did some more research and made a few phone calls to some gear head buddies. They said go for the aero turbine so I did and I have to say it was a great decision. I am very pleased with...

Re: What did you do to your ranger today thread

Traded my flowmaster for an aero turbine today. This thing sounds MEAN now probably the best I'm going to get out of the v6. I love it.

Re: Drop in filter for sound?

thanks for all the input guys. I just replaced my filter with another paper one. Can't really justify to myself to buy a drop in if it won't do what I'm looking for. Perhaps down the road I'll rig up...

Aero turbine muffler?

So I stopped by the muffler shop this morning to just ask a few questions and the guy there mentioned an aero turbine muffler. He said it would give me the sound I was looking for in my 4.0. I've...

Re: Drop in filter for sound?

So pretty much I just need to change the exhaust to make it sound better. The flowmaster is good its just not as loud as I'd like. I guess I'll dump it and see how that is.

Re: Drop in filter for sound?

Re: Drop in filter for sound?

Yes but I don't want it bad enough to spend 230 bucks on a CAI just for the sound so I was wondering about the drop in filter.

Hey all,

I have a 2001 4.0 xlt and want to make it just a bit louder. I have a flowmaster 40 cat back now and have done the air box mod. I am leaning towards doing something with the intake. Don't...

Well I won't say "never", but not too often.

We can cruise through about 7 feet of mud without a problem but some guys get a little too ****y and think the things are literally invincible. We...

Re: My other "4x4"

Well I don't "own" it per say. I have the keys on the same key ring as my Ranger.

I'm a Sergeant in the US Army and that's the tank I'm responsible for while I'm in this unit.

That thing is 5...
