You noticed the years that eBay posted that fit your truck, so if you have a junk yard close which I didn't, then that is your best option. I have a 2004 so I can't confirm parts.

I already bought a crank sensor,thought I would try it and I have read,if I read it right inertia switches once they fail it should be replaced as the problem re-occurs. Thanks for your help!

Just got the crank sensor in today.Pretty cheap price $27 for oem at Rock Auto,will get it slammed on and go from there. Appreciate the help Bud!

Hey Roberto! I ordered a new OEM sensor. When it failed starting, I didn't look at the speedo to see if I got a check engine light.My Ranger is getting close to 100K miles so it is a prime suspect....

Ended up being the inertia switch code, was hit and miss cutting off the fuel.the mechanic replaced it, total cost $70. Starts right up.
