Re: What's this Ranger worth?

IF it was in great condition without damages, that truck would bring $6,000-$7,000 around here. In it's present condition assuming no mechanical problems, worth somewhere in the $3K's.

Re: What's this Ranger worth?

With 64,000 miles the interior should be excellent. And what's with all the exterior damages? Sure the odometer hasn't been rolled back? The miles look good on paper, but if it's been sitting unused...

Re: 2000 Ranger 2.5 chipped piston

Yea, the set of new rings will cost more than that unless you can find someone selling them for one piston.

Re: 2000 Ranger 2.5 chipped piston

Where is OP going find a used one for less than $20? No junk yard will take apart an engine for just one piston. I looked on Ebay just for the hell of it and no 2.5L pistons listed. A few 2.3L for...

Re: The never ending P0171 lean code 97 2.3l ranger

Re: 2000 Ranger 2.5 chipped piston

Makes no sense to get a used piston when a new one is $20.

As my first post says, I bought a Hidden Hitch receiver at the junkyard that was mounted on another Ranger.

Re: Does the frame already have mounting holes for a hitch?

Just getting around to this, and no it doesn't have all the holes.

Does the frame already have mounting holes for a hitch?

Bought a Hidden Hitch 2" receiver at the junkyard for $30. Are there already holes in the frame to mount it? Truck is a 1998 2WD RG 2.5L 5-speed if that matters.

Re: 98 2wd

So what are you afraid of at $500? The truck bed alone is worth near that much.

Re: Whats missing on this vacuum line?

That's just the coolant line from the throttle body I've bypassed. Haven't had a chance to properly finish it off.

Whats missing on this vacuum line?

Had the upper intake on my '98 removed and after putting it back together noticed this line missing a hose. Can't find anything nearby that would connect to it. Anyone know what goes there?

Engine dies when I try to take off.

1998 5-speed Ranger that I haven't driven in a month. It ran fine before, and it started right up after sitting that long. It idles fine but as soon as I ease out the clutch and give it some gas, the...

Re: My O2>>>

If you took it to a place that uses a machine to flush it, that's why it lasted just 50 miles. They probably use some solvent that is supposed to soften and dissolve varnish but it can also clog up...

Re: Transmission flush or change?

Assume you're doing this yourself so I would drop the pan and see if there is much crud on the bottom. Then change the filter and refill with fluid. Drive it for 5-10 miles and change the fluid...

Re: Drum Brake Brand?

Probably all the drums except Motorcraft will be from China so I bought the $17 Prontos for basically a beater truck. Haven't installed them yet but they look nice.
