i found corrosion under the crimp on my battery cable a while ago. it actually started faster after i replaced them lol!

now that i think about it, no i don't think the egr will be commanded open until its reached full op temp anyway, so it shouldn't have the opportunity to stick open until then.

oh crap, sorry about that. man i really don't know about OBD1. there's a couple other guys here that i believe would know, i'm sure they'll pop in eventually

oh, does it stumble right after cruising at constant speed (low throttle input)? if the egr valve is hanging open, it'll starve you of air. from the ****pit, it feels just like loss of fuel...

ah, i gotcha. well, the computer is running in open loop until operating temperature, and then it starts reading closed loop from all the sensors feeding in data. so maybe a MAF problem?

oh i'm sure you did fine installing the pump, i was thinking more along the lines of a bad fill-up or just atmospheric humidity taking a toll. but if the filter was clean, then that's certainly not...

i have a 99 2.5 2wd, and those 235/75/15 are a nice fit, no rubbing, and not so big that they dog down our little 2.5 lol! and if you've already got 15s, then no biggie!

now those 265/75/16s,...

it does look there should be a little tit sticking out on the valve cover to twist the valve on tight with. maybe it broke off when removing the stock one? hope not!

honestly that clicking sound reminds me of when i had a cracked drum in the rear. could be a rotted/broken spring... with olld brakes, who knows til you take them apart lol

my wife's cobalt's battery lasted 9 years! same deal as you, low mileage AND its in a garage where it rarely gets below 40 and rarely above 80 for the most part. i felt it take juuuust a little bit...
