Well the bottom is spinning also, I put some channellock on them but still not tightening up! I can't get the damn bolt back out either!

I've had my 3" BL on now for 3 years. I went to tighten them up today and my driver side rear cab bolt till not tighten and its loose as hell! Any suggestions?

AZ-But with the shackle you can only use the 2 lower sets of holes. The leaf spring will not fit into the other top holes. I didn't know if there's a way to get into the other 3-4 holes. Sorry for...

I think I have it narrowed down to the fan clutch. I just so happen to be looking under the hood and grabbed the fan and there was about 1/2" of play front to back.

Hopefully this solves my issue.

Yes-under acceleration the noise comes then at speed disappears.

No noise when turning, just accelerating

Why would you not clean your pulleys to get the glazing off? You should always do that when replacing belts.

If the pulleys are supposed to stop quickly them I have atleast 2 bad

I ended up going to the junkyard and getting 2 racks off a couple 99' explorer. (Wanted to stay ford tough lol).

I had to cut the cross members down the length on both the topper as...

Ok, so I took the old belt off and checked all of the pulleys, they didn't sound bad. I went ahead and cleaned the oulleys and put on a new belt.

Drove it and the sound is still there.

Thank you very much for the help. Like I mentioned, I've been dealing with this noise for damn near 3 years now. I'm going to pull off belt tomorrow and clean all of the pulleys with scotchbrite pads...

Ok, I will check those. Like I said, it only makes the sound when I stomp on the gas. Other than that, nothing.

I've had the truck 3 years and hav e nev r replaved it so I don't know how old it is. I can definately hear it on the passenger side. Now which one is the idler pulley?

I'm sorry there was a typo. I put a tensioner pullry on last year, not an idler pulley. And that didn't solve the problem
