I had to take a sick day today, to get this truck fixed. They fit like a glove due to using the same type connector. I heard some people say using high impedance injectors killing the trucks computer...

12v can shock you although not lethal, but is enough to startle you and cause a bad chain of events. But yes do the negative terminal first, safer that way.

as far as power and ground wires are concerned...look at your amp it should have two wires that are larger than the rest, are possibly burnt, marked as power (+) or ground (-). These are the wires...

if it makes you feel any better you don't have to run a new remote wire, they carry very current, and is just used to trigger a relay inside your amp to turn it on, but if you upgrade your amp there...

No 4 guage is 4 guage....not saying audio 4 guage isn't oversized, but to stated as such the wire has to be at least that size. Now as far as what I mean as being as clean when it comes to power...

I am not saying feed the sub 500 watts but if an amp is capable of 500 Watts it can be tuned to fit the sub better than the factory amp and not work as hard increasing the efficiency of the amp,...

an amp that strong is going to need at least 4 guage power and ground wires.
