Wrap the strap around one of the frame rails...

Wrap the strap around one of the frame rails behind the bumper. It'll work fine for your situation. I would recommend the same for the rear too. Never been a fan of using the bumper.

A battery with low water will start to boil and can explode.

I've been running that size for almost 10 years now. No issues at all. The duratracs are good tires. I ran them for 6years. Just recently replaced them due to age.
