Just performed this procedure, and new hub is growling.

Diagnosis - when I turn left, the growling stops, indicating the left hub is the problem.

My 1/2" torque wrench only goes to 150...

Works like a charm! first time I've heard my R speakers work in a while since my old one had a pair of bad amplifiers. I love that it looks stock.

I have the opportunity to purchase a 6 disk out of an 03. any reason it wouldn't swap right in for my stock CD/AM/FM/Casette Double DIN?

Does the 6 disk have an external amplifier I need to...

The fit is pretty good. I think I would consider trimming a few inches off the feet of the bar to lower it down a bit.
